Kabul (BNA) Deputy Ministry on Youth Affairs and Helmand’s Directorate of Information and Culture jointly held a conference on ‘Youth’s role in peace and stability’ here yesterday, BNA reported.
During the conference, dozens of the youth, Ulema, civil society activists, students and government officials called youth’s role important in establishing of durable peace in the country.
Speaking during the conference, Helmand governor Hayatullah Hayat said that the government of national unity has special attention towards youth, adding recruitment of the new generation has been increased in government offices. He also asked youth to further try in their studies and works.
Meanwhile, Elmi Shah, Helmand’s director of information and culture asked youth to try their best in establishing of peace and stability in their own country, adding presence of the youth in military ranks has promoted the fight against insurgency across the country.
In a telephone conversation, acting minister of information and culture, Dr. Kamal Sadat hinted at important role of youth in the society, adding that easing youth with education opportunities would bring a bright future for Afghanistan. Praising efforts of Helmand governor in development process and fighting against insurgents, acting minister of information and culture said that he would be officially appreciated, saying MoIC trying hard to ease education and job opportunities for the youth. The participants of the conference pledged to support the security forces and would try hard to cooperate national unity government in establishment of peace and stability in the country.
