Kabul (BNA) Deputy Publication Ministry of the Ministry of Information and Culture held a meeting of working group on public awareness for prevention of human trafficking here yesterday, BNA reported.
According to the agency, the meeting which was presided over by the deputy minister of publication, Associate Prof. Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi, discussed plans and ways for prevention of human trafficking and illegal migrations.
Pointing to public awareness for implementation of plans on human trafficking, the deputy minister said that Afghanistan is not the only country facing with such challenges and illegal migrations, but Iran and Pakistan have also been facing the same phenomenon, adding these countries should join hands in fight against the human trafficking and illegal migrations.
The meeting was followed with proposals and plans presented by the representatives of different organizations. The meeting decided that the representatives submit their organization’s views and decisions regarding to the issue prior to 3rd November to the deputy ministry on publication affairs, as country-wide campaign is yet to begin on prevention of human trafficking and illegal migrations.
The campaign will be carried out through media, Ulema, holding of worships, publishing of brochures, posters and informative notebooks.
The meeting was attended by tourism director Abdul Khalil Oriakhel, Ghulam Haide Nader deputy to office of the fight against human trafficking, Abdul Wahid Hedayat in charge of the human rights organization, Abdul Rahman Azimi head of public awareness on legal affair of the Ministry of Justice, Mohammad Sharif Robati head of principle sciences and studies of Ministry of Hajj and Religious affairs and a number of representatives of different government and non-government organizations.
