Jalalabad City (BNA) With a cost of AFG 183, 952, 000 funded by the National Solidarity Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) more than 300 infrastructural projects have recently been executed in various parts of eastern Nangarhar province.
These projects have been implemented in Behsoud, Sarkhroaud, Koz-Konar, Dary-Noor, Kama, Goshta and Naziyan districts of the province.
The projects include the construction of irrigation canals, protection walls, Kariz (underground canals), dikes, gabion walls, retaining walls, bridges, culverts, side ditch, pathways, micro-hydraulic power dam, extension of water supplies and gravelling of rural roads.
NSP has been able to cover 377 villages and completed more than 308 welfare projects in various sectors throughout the province.
