Meeting On ‘Youth Flee And The Aftermaths’ Held

Kabul (BNA) Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Youth Affairs, Dr. Kamal Sadat in a meeting held on youth flee and the aftermaths said his ministry in coordination with other related organs would do much for returning youth, the BNA reported the other day.
At the meeting attended by representatives from 33 provincial youth affairs, Sadat expressed concern over the growing departure of the youths from the country and advised them of refraining from the dangerous plan to leave for other countries, where they wouldn’t also be with safe work ground, said the state ran agency.
He said the returning youth would be provided with enough work capacity, including education, professional training, small loans (through microcredit systems), health services and works inside the country, said the agency.
Present at the meeting, deputy minister of refugees and repatriates, Ahmad Wali Hukmi said some 7 million Afghans are now living abroad, of which three million in Pakistan, 2.4 million in Iran and 650,000 other in other countries, according to the agency.
He said the policy of his ministry was based on the voluntarily return of the refugees and that he had spoken about the issue with some foreign countries and international organizations on refugees.
The ministry of refugees had made effort to remove the problems facing by the Afghan refugees in the foreign countries, the agency continued.
Other participants including an official from the ministry of foreign affairs spoke about the issue saying the ministry was in full coordination with the ministry of information and culture and the ministry of refugees and repatriates and was committed to do more to defend the rights of the refugees under the international conventions.
They also praised the efforts made for the youth by the deputy youth affairs minister of information and culture, Dr. Kamal Sadat.
This is while, more than 14,000 vacant posts are now available in the government organizations.
