Kabul (BNA) At a cost of AFN 59,594,000 funded by the National Solidarity Programme of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) including 10% community contribution 40 public utility projects have recently been completed in a number of areas related to the center of Bamyan province.
According to NSP Provincial Manager in Bamyan province, these projects include the construction of four community centers, a water reservoir at a capacity of 1,855 square meters, a protective wall 7,862 meters in length, a 365-meter irrigation canal, culverts and gravelling 610 meters of rural roads. Approximately, 2,697 families in different communities had an opportunity to gain access to basic human needs upon completion of these projects.
Since its inception in Bamyan province, the NSP has been able to execute 1,393 infrastructure projects in different sectors such as transport, water and sanitation, irrigation, power, livelihoods, education, etc. while the work of another 686 is currently in progress in various communities.
