Kabul (BNA) The first session on implementing stage of Afghanistan national action plan and UN 1325 resolution on women, peace and security was held yesterday with participation of minister of women affairs, deputy foreign minister on political affairs, deputy ministers of finance, information and culture and representatives of relevant government institutions.
In his opening speech, deputy foreign minister on political affairs asserted that the plan could result in improvement of human rights and women in the country when there were political will, financial possibilities and effective coordination between relevant organs.
In the session, minister of women affairs, Delbar Nazari spokes related to implementation of Afghanistan government’s commitments in London conference towards improvement of women life condition and the government’s national action plan, asking various and relevant organs of the government to cooperate in implementation of the plan.
In the session, acting deputy minister of policy for foreign affairs and director of human rights and international affairs for foreign affairs also spoke related to the issue, stressing on prioritization of first and second stages and allocation of budget for the plan.
