Kabul (BNA) The dead body of the deceased Ustad Momin Khan Beltoon was laid to rest yesterday in Beni Hesar of Kabul.
In burying ceremony of the country’s top singer was attended by a number of government officials, representatives of people in national assembly, artists and his fans, colleagues and relatives.
Abdul Bari Jahani, Minister of Information and Culture called Ustad Beltoon as the country’s top singer who had made much effort in improvement of Afghan local music and by his charming voice obtained the hearts of the people.
The deceased Ustad Beltoon’s art had changed him to a special and common artist of the country and his efforts towards music would be remembered forever, Jahani said.
Minister of information and culture extended condolence and sympathy to the deceased family, artists and fans, wishing paradise to the deceased and patience to the remained.
Jahani said that death of Ustad Beltoon was a big loss.
Momin Khan Beltoon had sung for long years and left dozens of pieces of his songs in the archive of Afghanistan National Tv behind. Ustad Beltoon had been selected as the best artist of the year four times and received five art medals during his artistic life.
