Gender, Women Affairs Committee Holds Session

Kabul (BNA) Presided over by Second Vice President Sarwar Danesh, Gender and Women Affairs Committee held session the other day, BNA reported.
The meeting reviewed the policy to protect the women in war and emergency states, the evaluating report of the women national action plan and the national policy to bolster women partnership in election process, the agency added.
The ministry of women affairs reported that based on pre-determined goal, women presence in police structure would reach to 64.4 percent.
The report added the women presence have reached to 1689 persons in national army structure in 2018.
The meeting also discussed the national policy to bolster women partnership in elections process.
Calling the policy effective, VP Danesh stressed on preparing implementing plan for that.
Likewise , at the presence of VP Danesh, cooperation agreements to implement policy of women access to their heir and property right which was approved in the last meeting signed between the ministries of women affairs, justice, education, higher education, hajj and religious affairs, information and culture, Attorney General Office and some other related organs.
