Kabul (BNA) The World Food Program (WFP) organization has recently announced that they are focusing their attention over the foodstuff distribution under an aid food programs among the war-affected families who have taken refuge as a result of the Kunduz province’s destabilized situations to the comfortable places. At the same time, the organization has released a statement, saying that the first aid food stuffs were put at the disposal of 150 families who have recently escaped from Kunduz province to Mazar-e-sharif province. Meanwhile, 950 families who have taken refuge to the Taliqan, the center of the Takhar province, have benefited from the foodstuffs which were distributed by the World Food Program Organization. It is mentionable, the aided foodstuffs which were distributed by the Disaster’s National Office among the families who have taken refuge from the Kunduz province in the first current week to the Mazar-e-sharif province, amounted to the 3 tons. As it is explained the aided foodstuffs programs, were taken into consideration for the families who have taken refuge to the following provinces such as Balkh, Takhar and Badakhshan provinces. Based on the officials’ remarks, the World Food Program in coordination with Afghanistan’ Emergency Committee has distributed about 4 tons of the foodstuffs for the families who have taken refuge to the Mazar-e-sharif province.
Similarly, the Bakeries who cook and prepare the breads for the war-affected families were provided with the flour that this organization has supplied for them based on the contract, signed between them. The World Food Programs which evaluates the domestic current war-affected family’s conditions, who have suffered mostly from the Kunduz province insecurity, is paying serious attention over their required foodstuffs. Meanwhile, the World Food Program’s special envoy has stated that they try their best to extend their necessary foodstuffs to the war affected families. However, the Ministry of the Refugees and Repatriation (MRR) has been expecting from the relevant organs that they should extend their assistances to the war-affected families too. It was stated by the Ministry of Refugee and Repatriation that thousands of the families have left and taken refuge in the Balkh, Takhar, Badakhshan and Baghlan provinces. The World Food programs have stated, while the security and peaceful situations are maintained in the Kunduz province, “our assistances will be increased with the coordination of the organs that are willing to take part in these humanity aided programs”.
Moreover, certain economic experts have expressed their views, saying that the timely contributions can have effective role on the betterment of the living condition of the war-affected families who are living in a bad social status. It was said that The National Unity Government (NUG) should focus its accurate concentration over the foodstuff distribution among the families on time. At the same time, the Afghan merchants who are willing to extend their humanitarian aids to the war-affected families, have provided the foodstuff and other assistances to Kunduz’s war suffered people. Not only the Afghan merchants have supplied shelters and the assistances, but the ordinary people have also been donating to the families who have reached Kabul city, capital of Afghanistan. Kunduz province has been facing security and economic challenges, as militants torched the infrastructures and depredated shops and supermarkets.
