Kabul (BNA) At a cost of AFN 17,812,000 funded by the National Solidarity Programme of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/NSP) 13 uplift projects have recently been completed in the Khugyani district of Nangarhar province.
According to NSP Provincial Manager in Nangarhar, province, these development projects encompass the construction of protection walls 810 meters in length, two water-intakes, a 795-meter irrigation canal, a 61 meter sidewalks, 7 culverts, and excavation of 36 wells.
Approximately, 3,190 families in various communities have been able to get access to basic human needs upon completion of these projects.
Since its inception in Nangarhar province, the NSP has been able to execute 3,984 development projects in different sectors including transport, water and sanitation, irrigation, power, livelihoods, education etc while the work of another 1,107 is currently in progress.
