Faizabad (BNA) The flow of heavy snows and avalanches claimed the lives of 4 people and caused wounding of 8 others within the last two days in three districts of Badakhshan province.
Ahmad Jawed member of provincial council told BNA correspondent, two people were dead and three others wounded in heavy snows and avalanches in Kohistant and Yawan districts.
Farahnaz Pameri member of provincial council said, avalanches claimed the lives of two people, wounded a number of people in Sheghnan district and around 75 residential houses likely was under the avalanches threat and the residents have left their homes and fled to the neighboring villages.
Sayed Abdullah Hamayon Dehqan head of straggle against natural disaster of Badakhshan said, emergency committee seeks food and non-food assistance to the victims of the region.
