Kabul (BNA) Three passengers lost their lives due to heavy snowfall and avalanche in Salang highway yesterday.
Zabihullah Shoja spokesman of police chief in Baghlan told BNA reporter, two cars trapped in avalanche in Shawel region, Salang highway, in which three commuters lost their lives and two others were injured.
Salang highway due to heavy snowfall is close to traffic, Shoja today added.
Depth of snow reach to 1.20 cm in south Salang.
Dozens passenger’ vehicles has stopped in Khanjan district of Baghlan province and with reduction of snowfall the highway to be opened on traffic, Shoja concluded.
