Advocating Women’s Rights Govt. Top Priority, VP Danesh

Kabul (BNA) Opening ceremony of national action plan and strategy for counter violence against women was held yesterday with participation of second vice president Sarwar Danesh in Kabul.
In the ceremony attended by a number of cabinet members, high-ranking government officials, civil society activists, women rights activists, representatives of foreign and international organizations and lecturers of Kabul universities, second vice president Sarwar Danesh considred maintaining of women rights as key and national responsibility of Afghanistan government, adding women was the responsibility of all, society and Afghanistan government.
Considering national action plan and strategy women as the most significant document in connection with counter violence against women in the country after law on prevention of violence agains women, second vice president added that the key document has been deified for maintaining justice, rights of women and the country’s enforced laws towards big goals and strategies of Afghanistan and implementation of the country’s commitments.
The second vice president also considered hidden violence as expanded and while praising media for playing positive role in this regard, asking the country’s media to seriously act related to exposing violenc-related crimes and cases without any fear and based on Islamic and national responsibility and further make efforts in this regard.
