Kabul (BNA) The first phase of the township of Khawja Rawash was inaugurated by Ahmad Zia Masoud the special envoy of president on reforms and good governance here yesterday. Accompanied by minister for urban development, minister for women affairs and inister for work and social affairs, Masoud said that it is a matter of pleasure that phase of the township inaugurated today. This is the responsibility of the government to provide home to its citizens who has no shelter, Masoud added.
To low income residents the government would provide low price houses in installments, the official said, adding the government would improve living condition of the people.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister for urban development said that Khawja Rawash Township is important housing project of the ministry which began in 1391.
The project having 2021 apartments has been constructed in 78 blocks in 200 acres land. Next phases of the projects would be distributed in future, he added.
