Training Workshops Effective In People Life

Kabul (BNA) To decrease violence against women and to increase their partnership in political and social spheres of the country, a two-day workshop titled ‘Women Leadership Training’ was held in Kabul on 27 Mizan up to 28.
The workshop was held by ‘Rescue and Quick Development Organization’ in its center in the capital Kabul. Zahra Azizi, the in-charge for State Project told that the aim of the workshop was to beef up the women partnership in social and political aspects and it taught them how to be good leaders and servants for the society. Likewise, the workshop taught both the men and women how to be a good and effective leader and manager within their families, society and offices, she went on to say. Welcoming holding of such training workshops to government employees, particularly women, the participants stressed on further holding of such workshops. Sayed Baqir Amiri, the capacity building gender trainer of the ministry for women affairs said, ‘holding of such workshops can be surely effective and efficient for both men and women and is a basic need countrywide.’ It can also be effective in prevention of violence against women throughout the country, he further said. It can also play significant role in solving leaders’ problems within their families and offices and of those who are willing to form a family in near future, he continued.
Holding such workshops also enables those who will take part in social, political and judicial sectors in the future to be good servants in their society and solve their problems properly, he added. Farida Sultani, a participant of the workshop said, ‘learning leadership is a need to everybody in the society, whether he/she is in work or in a family.’ This training workshop was including leadership skills, how to communicate, how to prevent violence against women and the people role in the respect, she further said, adding due to non-existence of leadership skills, women are faced with violence in many families. Therefore, when we participate in such programs, we can be not only a good leader to our family but to our society as well, he continued.  In the workshop, head of youth organization, Mohammad Ahangaran taught the participants the leadership skills, family leadership, how to get rid of social challenges, reasons behind violence against women, how to prevent violence against women and bringing positive changes in the society.  In the workshop, 20 key in-charges of the ministry of information and culture, deputy ministry on youth affairs, ministry of women, civil society organizations, The Kabul Times and Hewad dailies as well as Bakhtar News Agency were also participated, and the program was ended by distribution of certificates to participants. This is while that the women in Afghanistan are still facing various types of violence and holding such workshops can play significant role in their lives.
