Kabul (BNA) Peace is an inspiration and long-lasting desire of people and the Afghan state participation in peace talks with various factions is a response to the will of people and insisting on national reconciliation that our future depends on it.
BNA political analyst commenting on the issue writes, peace is a will and desire of Afghan people who are suffering from an imposed and proxy war for decades and sustained heavy casualties and destructions.
Peace is a highly respected term among our people and Islamic Republic of Afghanistan considers itself as patron of public values, therefore honoring these values tries honestly to hold talks with all opposition groups including Islamic party and Taliban to reach an agreement. However, what is the most important in the process are statements delivered by Afghan president and other leaders of the government regarding to observing the constitution of the country and previous achievements. The people hope, the process of peace talks should be a national process where the will of people demonstrated, not be a process where just a political group involved.
Fighting with any specific name or address continuing for decades and the Afghan innocent people have been the main victims of the outrageous proxy war. Seeing this inhumane situation, the Afghan state following peace talks programs tries to respond the people’s will, desire, and asks the other involved parties to join peace and meet the expectations of Afghan suffering people. It is an open fact that access to peace and stability is a long way to go and needs further sacrifices. In spite of that, it is only way that can end all hostilities and paves the way for tranquility and prosperity of the country. An example of such sacrifices for peace is the martyrdom of Professor Burhanudden Rabani who lost his life 5 years ago in a terrorist conspiracy for a peace cause. The martyrdom of Professor Rabani made it clear that there are certain circles and figures who are acting as political players as instructed by foreigners. However, considering the high interests of our people we prefer peace a peace as president Ghani says be honorable, accepts Afghan constitution, observes human rights and safeguard previous achievements. otherwise, without observing the above values and meeting Afghan national interests there would be no need for peace and the Afghan heroic people would be ready to fight for ensuring a just and honorable peace in their country and accept all sacrifices on this way as before.
