Kabul (BNA) Regretfully, I got informed that Alhaj Torday Akhund, the presidential advisor on tribal affairs had passed away due to illness he was suffering, the president said in a statement.
Late Torday was an influential figure of the country, whom had served part of his precious life in Jihad, the statement further said. He was the head and founder of Afghanistan’s Kyrgyz Tribal Council, as well as he had worked as senator and presidential advisor on tribal affairs, the statement added.
His services and cooperation with interim government and presidential office is laudable, his death is a great loss, the statement continued.
The president also expressed sympathy with late’s family, friends, colleagues and the people of Badakhshan province, asked paradise to him and great patience to the remained.
