Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Information and Culture and deputy minister on youth affairs, Dr. Kamal Sadat says human trafficking is an illegal act and must be prevented, BNA reported.
According to Bakhtar News Agency, addressing a gathering commemorating the world day of fight against human trafficking which was organized by the deputy ministry on youth affairs and the Fast & Relief Association here in Kabul, Dr. Kamal Sadat said that human trafficking is indeed sell and purchase of the humans which can take place within a country or across the region.
According to Sadat, all the over the world facing with the same human trafficking challenges, where most of the countries applying heavy punishment for those being arrested over such illegal act.
Sadat went on saying that those being affected by the human trafficking are mostly the refugees, youth, fresh comers to the major cities, fugitive teenagers and the poor families. Based on the statistics, in each 30 seconds a human is being victimized by the traffickers in all over the world, where in the past eight months 120 thousands of Afghan citizens have been migrated to abroad, which indeed hit record number of the refugees comparing the last year.
