Kabul (BNA) Dr. Kamal Sadat, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Youth Affairs and Acting MoIC asked the youths across the country to stand against drugs through a national besiege and say no to it, BNA reported the other day.
Speaking a ceremony held in Jahan-e-Noor University to mark the Counterdrug Week, Dr. Kamal Sadat said the wicked drug was an unfamiliar phenomenon to the Afghan culture and asked the youth to stand against it, say no to it and advised them not only refrain from using the fatal substance, but also prevent others from using it countrywide.
The deputy minister said drugs are financing war by terrorists in Afghanistan and the youths have to retake the possibilities from the government armed oppositions and help create a peaceful atmosphere in the country, the agency quoted.
He said his led deputy ministry for the youth affairs was working closely with the Colombo-Plan to help the youth get further awareness about the harms of the drugs in the country, the agency added.
In his meeting with the First Deputy of the country’s Chief Executive (CE), the deputy ministry of information and culture was praised for its efforts to improve the youth condition and that he called establishment of the youth parliament a good and effective invention from the ministry, the agency said.
Lauding the government of national unity for supporting the youths in different fields, Dr. Sadat hoped his led deputy ministry could do more for development of the youth situation in the country, the agency said.
