Kabul (BNA) A relatively powerful earthquake jolted Afghanistan including capital Kabul on Monday afternoon with Richter scale recorded at 5.7 magnitude.
According to the US Geological Survey (USGS) the epicenter of the quake was 336.521°N 71.203°E in WSW of Ashkasham in northeastern Badakhshan province.
The depth of the quake according to USGS was 223.1 km and the time has been reported at 2015-08-10 10:05:25 UTC.
Tremors were also felt in Jalalabad, the capital city of eastern Nangarhar province and eastern Laghman province as well the regional countries including Pakistan, India and Tajikistan.
There are no reports regarding the casualties or damages as a result of the quake so far.
