Kabul (BNA) An awareness workshop related to national action plan for women of Afghanistan was held yesterday in ministry of information and culture.
In the workshop held by the ministry’s directorate of gender and with cooperation of ministry of women affairs and GSSP and participation of the ministry’s employees, national action plan for Afghanistan women was discussed.
In the workshop, two instructors of gender for ministry of women affairs Gulrokh Badakhsh and Soma Qazizada briefed related to the national action plan for Afghanistan women, introduction of gender and conclusion of gender, saying that the plan would be a working plan of the government for maintaining policies and national and international commitments related to position and condition of women and would be used until 2018.
Meanwhile, director of gender for ministry of information and culture Mahbooba Saadat also briefed related to works of the gender directorate in maintaining the national action plan, adding that all ministries and government institutions have committed to maintain the plan. Saadat stressed that all ministries should support and cooperate with directorate of gender for MoIC in maintaining the plan.
