Joint Efforts Needed To Fight Corruption, Experts

Kabul (BNA) Hundreds of articles have been written about the cruelty and outcry, corruption engulfed all over the country’s administration and how to uproot the phenomenon, but those in charges have failed to do something important in even lessening it by the lowest percentage.
The wicked phenomenon concerned both the people and the government of Afghanistan, with President Ghani’s lead national unity government, prioritizing the Kabul Bank scandalous case, once stepped up to fight corruption, but nothing noticeable had been still witnessed in this respect, according to Hashemi, a member of the house of people.
He asked the international community to provide enough cooperation with the government in uprooting corruption.
Expressing commitment to fight the main source of corruption, the government authorities say the vicious phenomenon was not only prevailed in the government administrations but also originates from foreign contracts, deemed to be set for securing uplift projects in the country.
He said if corruption was not inclusively fought, AFghanistan would face harsh challenges in the future, further than the past.
Corruption, they believed would be too difficult to be uprooted in short term, and there is a need for long term plan to be removed.
Afghanistan can’t fight corruption by its own, and in this filed, there is a need for the foreign countries engaged in bilateral contracts with Afghanistan and the international community to jointly take measure against, Ali Rahmani said asking the government for bringing those involved, to justice as the heinous adventure would badly affect the country’s both political, social and security situations and would cause a great challenge for the country, in the future.
Employment of eligible individuals and replacement of experts with those of corrupts and incompetents would partially do with the plan to uproot corruption, said Iqbal Safi and political expert, who asked for a joint government and those of different entities efforts to meet the challenge.

Phenomenon defames the country, and said the last government did nothing against it in the last 13 years. He sought the international community’s firm decision to do cooperate with Afghanistan in this respect.
He also believed the government’s endeavors in war on corruption would be the most effective plan to help win both the people and the international community’s trust for restoring reforms and good governance.
According to him, the president should follow what found guilty and involved in corruption and bring them to justice after launching investigation into their past activities.
Afghan citizens are also fed up with the prevailing corruption in the country, and asked the government for doing more in uprooting the phenomenon as it had defamed Afghanistan at the national and international level.
They asked the people, also to fight corruption in a joint move with the government.
Malalay a high school teacher in Kabul, said the government of national unity after their swearing in ceremony, pledged to fight corruption until its end, and I am optimistic about the success of the plan.
She asked the government for practical step in this filed further than ever, as Maiwand a school student has a similar view on how to fight corruption. He said both the government and the people should jointly step up in this respect and show the main feature of a honest and free corruption Afghanistan to the world.
