Kabul (BNA) The tenth of December the human rights day celebrated in Afghanistan, while the human rights due to terrorist activities and disability is a fragile condition.
The BNA socio economic analyst commenting on the issue writes 67 years ago, in tenth of December 1948, 48 countries of the world including Afghanistan voted to the UN declaration of human rights.
The declaration of human rights that guarantees the basic human rights sparked the hopes for the inhabitants of the earth and gave the hope for mankind that they will enjoy all their rights, according to law.
The countries that voted in favor of the international human rights declaration also committed to do all their best for safeguarding human rights and respect all articles included in the declaration.
Since the approval of the international human rights declaration, 202 countries have joined it and 21 international conventions have added to it. The most important is point is that the constitutions of all countries have approved it. The important principle of the human rights declaration is remembering the horrible incidence of World War Second and the world fear from repeating those unprecedented incidents.
Afghanistan is among the first countries, voted in favor of international human rights declaration, and for implementing and maintaining the basic principle of human rights, has experienced many difficulties.
If we look the incidents from the old time until occupying Afghanistan by Red Army, factional fighting and rule of Taliban, the Afghan people have seen various kinds of cruelties and violation of their rights. This indicates that the human rights have violated in many kinds and the people have sustained enormous pains and difficulties.
During the Soviet occupation, not only thousands of Afghans lost their lives or injured and disabled in war against occupiers but numerous Afghans were tortured in polygons and trialed in summary courts. Likewise, in factional disputes, many cities ruined and a great number of innocent people lost their lives, these indicate to serious violation of human rights. Taliban due to their particular interpretation from Islam committed grave crimes against Islam and Muslims and disguise of Islamic law violated the basic human rights.
After toppling the barbaric rule of Taliban and establishment a new government, the human rights partially improved in the country but not as expected. Although, since the establishment of the interim government  there have been great changes in the life of people but still the human rights problem is serious.
Since the establishment of interim government freedom of media has guaranteed, the number of media have increased, the country rescued from international isolation and the achievements of the people are tangible and outstanding.
However, regretfully, the terrorist activities originated abroad have caused instability and economic poverty and serious violation of human rights in the country. We daily see serious human rights violations by armed oppositions including beheading, hostage taking, torturing war prisoners, suicide attacks, killing kidnapping civilians are obvious violation of human rights committed by insurgents. The human rights violations have another incentive in Afghan society. This is today the women are not in good condition in the country their rights are not observed in the families, the public views especially in rural areas regarding the women are traditionally as it was. They are against the education of girls. In addition, the vulnerable sections of the society as disabled, addicts, and children are not enjoying a life as human. The rights and privileges of disabled not paid and it is not enough to meet the needs of their daily life. There has not done enough for medication of drug-addicted people while the number of them is daily increasing. On the other hand the number of children who are force to work from dawn to dusk in order to provide food for the family is increasing.
What we mentioned above, indicate that the human rights in Afghanistan is in horrible situation and there is a long distance to meet the human rights, therefore, there is an urgent need to accelerate efforts for  ensuring human rights and ending violations  against basic human rights.
