Kabul (BNA) First Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum expressed condolence over the demise of Lieut. Gen. Abdul Wali Nuristani, BNA reported.
Gen. Dostum who is now leading the country as acting president, said late Abdul Wali was one of the country’s brave military officers who died in Sweden and called his death a great loss. The Vice-President prayed for his soul to rest in heaven and hoped great patience for his bereaved families. According to another report, the First Vice-President also sent a message on the HIV International Day and saying the fatal disease has been called a global challenge against, the world continued efforts should be drawn for overcoming. The First Vice-President in his message, called the move to fight HIV, the responsibility of the cabinet committee on counternarcotic and led by the First Vice-President office, and assured to do his best to provide any ease and supportive possibilities to overcome the disease. This is one of the main responsibilities of the government to help uproot the disease, Gen. Dostum assured.
