Women Have No Security In Afghanistan: Women Organization

Kabul (BNA) A women right organization the ‘Jamiat Tawanmandsazi and Dastgiri Az Zanan-e-Afghanistan’ in a conference held here yesterday expressed concern about increasing violation of women rights in the country.
In her speck at the conference “Justice for Rukhshana” Zarifi Ghafari, head of the organization state that women in Afghanistan have no security and extra-judicial killing and stoning to death of late Rukhshana is not the first case of barbaric act against women and won’t be the last one.
She called upon government to ensure the rights of women in society and protect the defenseless women in the country. Speaking at the conference, Dr. Kamal Sadat the deputy on youth affairs with the ministry for information and culture asserted that youth of the country should work closely to put an end to violence against women. Moreover, female lawmaker from Ghor province in her speech at the conference said that extra-judicial killing of Rukhshana is not the first case of its kind. Saying previously two young people were whipped in the province and four more youths were executed illegally.
Spokesman for human rights commission, Surya Yusufzai, Mawlawi Hanafi and Abdul Wahid Khawari in their speeches strongly condemned the extra-judicial murder of Rukhshana as un-Islamic and inhuman act.
