President Ghani Meets Last Pilgrims’ Convoy Returning Home

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met Saturday evening with convoy of last pilgrims returning home from Saudi Arabia at Hamid Karzai International Airport. According to BNA report, in the meeting, acting minister of Hajj and Islamic affairs Mawlavi Abdul Hakim Munib first spoke and praised the country’s President for his particular attention to Afghan pilgrims, saying that positive changes have been made in Hajj process comparing to previous years. He added that the process has been evaluated as successful as Afghan pilgrims spent the period of 38 days in Hajj ceremony. Representing the Afghan pilgrims, Haji Ali Atayee and Haji Aminullah Azarwal while thanking the country’s President for meeting them said they prayed for tranquility, peace and stability of the country, asking for further attention to Hajj process and implementation of strategic plans for providing further facilitation to Afghan pilgrims.
Afterwards, President Ghani spoke and wished all worships and prayers of Afghan pilgrims be accepted for ending the continued imposed war and the 40-year crisis in the country. The country’s President said that Hajj process needed to be further managed and administrated and overall plans were underway in this regard as the success of the process was not only the duty of the Hajj Ministry, but the job of all relevant institutions within the government. President Ghani said that more efforts should be made for creating further facilitation to pilgrims, their camps and accommodation and transportation, adding that the Afghan Ariana Airline would be stood on its foot.
