TALIQAN CITY (BNA) The construction work of 19 water canals has started in Taliqan city the provincial capital of northern Takhar province yesterday.
Jawad Hejri spokesman of Takhar governor told BNA reporter, the water canals to be constructed with a sum of 79 million Afghanis funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB) within the next 18 months in Taliqan city.
By construction of the water canals over 3000 acres of agricultural lands will be irrigated, Hejri added.
