Jalalabad (BNA) Five welfare projects were put into exploitation in Nangarhar province.
The projects included retaining walls and water dam in Achen Dorbaba, Nazyan and Ghanikhail districts have been built by rural rehabilitation and development office at the cost of 30 million Afghanis.
Mojibulrahman Zeya head of rural rehabilitation and development of Nangarhar told BNA, using of the projects, hundreds of homes have been sheltered from damage to river water and floods.
Likewise, hundreds acres of agricultural land were saved from flood destruction.
